SUMMER PROGRAMS
SUMMER IS A TIME TO LEARN, GROW, AND CONNECT
The extended year program is designed to prevent regression and allow students to work on and develop their academic and social skills.
Each July, students in the extended school year program are encouraged to choose their own topics for language arts projects related to the theme of the year.
The extended school year program concludes with a celebration, and parents are invited to learn all about the students’ projects.
Students attending the extended school year program will enjoy one field trip per week, two of which are academic in nature and two of which are planned to allow students to develop their social interactions.
Students who stay for ESY are invited to stay the whole day at our grant-funded summer enrichment program.

Summer Enrichment
The summer enrichment program is academic- based without the pressures of academic measurements. It provides a fun, summer-camp like atmosphere with science experiments, music, art, and computers. The principal objectives of the summer enrichment program are to provide a structured, safe, camp-like program that allows for learning, creativity, self-expression, and fun. The program also helps parents and guardians provide for their child’s behavioral and social needs during the summer months.
The extended school year program runs from 8:45 a.m. to 12: 45 p.m. Students attending are also invited to join and participate in our grant-funded summer enrichment program which runs from 12:45 p.m. to 3:30pm. Lunch will be provided for students who stay the whole day.
