TEAM CERBERUS
In three short years, The Center School eSports Team has become a prominent member of the New Jersey state Esports league known as the GSE (Garden State Esports). Through the GSE our students have been able to seize many amazing opportunities including competing with schools nationally and internationally, and winning the state championship finals in April 2022 playing Knockout City (a game based upon the classic game of Dodgeball). The eSports team repeated their state championship status in May of 2024 playing Mario Kart 8.
Our school's eSports team has doubled in size from 13 to nearly 30 members. This expansion included fully incorporating a middle school team, allowing younger students to join the ranks. We also doubled the number of competitive teams, increasing from 6 to 11.
State Titles: 2022- Knockout City

Team Cerberus represents the State of New Jersey
at 2022 Dreamhack/Esports Summit Conventions
Our state championship win in April 2022 has given our team an immense opportunity in November 2022. We were invited to attend the 2022 Dreamhack/Esports Summit conventions in Atlanta, Georgia.
Team Cerberus challenged one of Georgia's premier teams from their state league in an exhibition match of Knockout City.
Team Cerberus travelled 7 states in 15 1/2 hours to attend Dreamhack and play against Georgia's team. In a best of 5 match, Team Cerberus took the game all the way down to the last match point of game 5. Although falling to their opponents, it was such a close match it was anybody's game. We are so proud of them and their showing. Such an accomplishment is a testimony to our eSports program. New Jersey was well represented!
