Mission Statement

Our mission is to mentor and support students in order to empower them to reach their fullest potential through a comprehensive program tailored to the specific needs of each student.

At The Center School we teach to strengths while centering on needs to empower our students.

Vision Statement

The Center School provides a supportive and comprehensive educational environment where each student may reach their potential for academic, emotional, and physical health. This is accomplished employing a dedicated staff working collaboratively with the student, the parents/guardians, and the sending district.

Goal

The Center School’s goal for each student is to be able to function successfully in whatever setting they may choose. These settings may be a return to a local school, vocational program, transitional program, another private school, college, the armed services, the workplace, or any combination of the above.

Philosophy

Children with learning disabilities and school adjustment problems experience difficulties in all aspects of their lives as well as in school. These disabilities affect academic achievement, peer relationships, family life, and the development of a positive self-image.
Center School provides a supportive educational environment in which each student may reach his or her potential for academic, emotional and physical health. A comprehensive learning experience is offered that allows each student to develop his or her personal best. This is accomplished by carefully selected, dedicated staff working in unison with the student, the parents/guardians, and the sending district.

Center School is committed to helping each student become as self-sufficient and successful as possible.
