Elementary School

The Center School Elementary Program content focuses on acquisition of basic skills. These skills are viewed not only as ends in themselves but also as tools to support a continuum of learning.
The program is carried out through small group instruction that considers unique learning styles and personal strengths and weaknesses. Instruction takes place in classes which range from three to five students. Our learning studio allows combining classes for morning meeting, special projects, and other functions giving students the opportunity to engage in larger groups for social and behavioral growth. Curriculum objectives are adjusted in rate of presentation, quantity, and quality of work. The sequence of instruction is indicated by the needs of the student.
