The Center School (TCS) is a private, non-profit school for students with disabilities, approved by the State of New Jersey
Center School students are placed directly from their local school districts. All students have an individual education plan (IEP). Our academic and behavior support programs are designed with each child’s needs in mind.

Admissions
All students are placed at The Center School directly from their districts. Your Case Manager will contact us and send the required paperwork to start the admissions process. If we feel we can provide an appropriate placement for your child we will contact your Case Manager to schedule an intake.

Q. WHO DOES TCS SERVE?
We serve students ages 5-21 who are strong academically, but live with autism spectrum disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, attention issues and other developmental disabilities.
Q. HOW MANY STUDENTS WILL BE IN MY CHILD'S CLASS?
Our class size is small. Typically, there will be 4-8 students per class. Along with a certified special education teacher and a paraprofessional.
Q. WHAT SUPPORT SERVICES ARE OFFERED AT TCS?
In addition to our academic program, TCS provides Counseling, Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Therapy.
Q. ARE THERE EXTRACURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES AT TCS?
The Center School offers a full range of after school clubs and programs. We have three sports teams which compete against other schools.
Q. HOW DOES MY CHILD GET TO TCS?
Your school district is responsible for your child's transportation to and from TCS.
Q. DO YOU ACCEPT PRIVATE PAY STUDENTS?
On the rare occasion we will accept students on a private pay basis.
