Commencement Ceremony

At the end of each school year, a commencement ceremony is held to recognize students individually for their efforts at Center School and to offer best wishes as they return to district, transfer to other private schools, attend vocational programs, go on to higher education, or enter the workplace. Students who are graduating from eighth grade and high school may receive diplomas from their sending districts at this time. Highlights of the ceremony include student speakers and presentation of the Distinguished Alumni Award to one or more returning alumni who share their post-Center School experiences with departing students. The program concludes with a reception for students, families, and staff and a tree planting ceremony that symbolizes continuing growth.
